Kennedy Town Swimming Pool by TFP Farrells

In October 2007, the West Island Line (WIL) scheme was gazetted under the Railway Ordinance. One of the WIL stations, Kennedy Town Station will be located at the site of the existing Kennedy Town Swimming Pool on Smithfield Road. As a result, re-provisioning of existing pool is on the critical path of MTRC WIL construction as Kennedy Town Station can not commence until the new complex is complete and operational. The new complex will be completed in two phases to coincide with the construction and completion of WIL. The new swimming pool complex will enrich the local community by providing a public facility that is easily accessible, complementary to existing public amenities and will contribute to the character of Kennedy Town.
