The Living Pixels Lighting Collection

The Living Pixels Lighting Collection is a concept that came out from the collaboration between ECOLS and the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in a joint project tutored by Benny Leong & Philine Bracht.

The Design Team was a fruitful combination of three young designers from the Industrial and Product 2010 promotion. With experience in product design, packaging and ecodesign, the designers collaborated closely with SDWorks and created this amazing lighting collection in barely two weeks of hard work and passion.

Taking recycled advertising banners as the project's starting point; the designers gave a unique three-dimensionality to the material by cutting it into small pieces and combining them together to create interesting volumes of light and texture.
